Great hotel in a quiet neighbourhood of central Kyoto close to many restaurants, sights and public transport. Amenities and rooms were modern and very clean. The bed was super comfy and the room pretty spacious. Loved the free sale at night, the bartender also gave great recommendations as to which sake to try. Great price as well. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Kyoto!

A fantastic hotel/hostel with an attached bar/cafe. The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was kind and helpful and open for a chat. The bar offers free sake for those who are staying at the hotel and also offers some unique cocktails. The location is not far from a metro and quite central in Kyoto.

I stayed there for a 3-night stay and it was really great. The location is perfect, the staff is professional and breakfast is good (veggie/vegan friendly). The room is well equipped, one thing that bothered me was the blinds don’t fully block out the light, which was unfortunate. All in all, great value for money!

What a fantastic place. Our wonderful experience in Kyoto was made even better by this hotel. Everything from the friendly staff who checked us in and offered us an umbrella when it was lightly raining, to the spotless room with premium quality amenities, to the delicious selection of breakfast options, and of course the free-flowing Sake every evening - what more could we ask for especially for such a price. The hotel is slightly tucked inside the charming narrow streets but still only 3 minutes away from a bus stop and within close proximity to train stations. It was a perfect 11/10 experience and I could not fault a single thing. Will always cherish every moment that we spent in this hotel.

stepping through the lobby, we were immediately struck by the welcoming atmosphere. the staffs were very friendly and helpful. the hotel location is quite strategic,in a quiet area. the room is clean and well-equipped with all the essentials. we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and hopefully we will be back at IMU hotel soon.
